Sheats-Goldstein Tour

The Sheats-Goldstein Residence, designed by John Lautner, stands as one of Los Angeles’s most celebrated mid-century homes, nearly as iconic as the Hollywood sign itself. With a rich history that intertwines architectural mastery and cultural significance, this Beverly Hills landmark has been featured in numerous films, TV shows, fashion shoots, and music videos, earning reverence in architecture and design circles worldwide.

Originally designed and built between 1961 and 1963 by Lautner, the house has gone through multiple renovations and additions over the last seven decades. The LA Forum invites you to experience the Sheats-Goldstein Residence on an exclusive tour of the original home and the new Goldstein Entertainment Complex, designed by Duncan Nicholson and Conner & Perry Architects . Discover the intricate details of this iconic property and gain insight into the ongoing restoration and maintenance efforts that preserve its legacy.

Kristopher Conner and James Perry, of Conner & Perry Architects, have been overseeing and designing additions to the property since 2015. Their work continues a legacy initiated by Lautner's apprentice and associate, Duncan Nicholson, who carried forward Lautner's vision after his passing.

The latest addition to the property is the Goldstein Entertainment Complex, an ambitious project situated adjacent to the original residence and beneath the stunning infinity tennis court. Initially envisioned by Lautner to be tucked under the main house, the complex now resides under the tennis court due to the hillside construction demands.

Designed by Nicholson and Conner & Perry Architects, the Goldstein Entertainment Complex features:
