la forum publications
Through various media, both on-line and on-paper, the Forum fosters and documents discourse about architecture, design, and the city.
forum annual
Forum Annual gathers the most pertinent material from recent Forum Issues and online features to document our activities of the year and provide an arena for debating the most pressing issues concerning architecture, urban design and art in Los Angeles and beyond.
forum issues
Appearing a few times a year, the Forum Issue is our online newsletter, investigating a single topic relevant to architecture, design, and urbanism.
online features
Online features focus on topics and projects outside the bounds of the Issue.
portfolio
The Forum has a distinguished history of print publications, both big and small. Every month or two, Forum members receive the Forumemo, a postcard with original work by artists on one side and annoucements of Forum events on the other. The images from the Forumemo cards are collected and printed in a limited-edition portfolio for sale in the summer.
pamphlets
Forum Pamphlets allow topical investigations and adventurous experimentation in keeping with the Forum's overall mission. Previous Forum Pamphlets have included Craig Hodgett's Swimming to Suburbia and Douglas R. Suisman's Los Angeles Boulevard: Eight X-Rays of the Body Public. Beginning in 2003, the Forum announces a new pamphlet-sized publication, the Forum Annual, which collects the best of the online publications, and documents the salient issues of the year for both Los Angeles and the Forum.
