Sunblock 2011: LA Forum + BROODWORK + Big Parade = BONAVENTURE ADVENTURE !
Please join us for an intergenerational Los Angeles Forum Sunblock series event on Saturday, October 8th, 3:30pm – 5pm.
Big Parade’s Dan Koeppel leads a one hour walk in, through, and around the Westin Bonaventure Hotel in downtown Los Angeles.
Participants in the event will walk interiors, exteriors, fly-aways and walkways of the seemingly unnavigable spaces of this landmark structure of Post-Modernism that is referred to by political geographer and urban planner Ed Soja as the epitome of getting lost (see video link below). At the juncture of public and private urban spaces and within BROODWORK’s exploration of Time, BONAVENTURE ADVENTURE takes the time to rediscover and reclaim the very idea of getting lost.
This event is free and open to the public. Free LA Forum hats given out to people signing up for annual Forum membership!
