This summer the Forum presents “On the Map,” a lecture series that intends to build a critical map of Los Angeles’s architectural milieu while providing access to some works that might otherwise remain inaccessible to the general public. For this series the LA Forum will host architects who will speak about their work in a setting of their own design.

Please join the LA Forum on Thursday August 3rd – for our final
lecture in 2006’s On The Map series.

Ridgewood Residence

The residence on North Ridgewood Place in Larchmont is a lesson in design politics. The street is lined with well-kept California bungalows and includes strong neighborhood participation. However, Assembledge did not quietly insert a new remodel. Keeping only the footprint of the original house, the firm boldly asserted its design sass and completed a stunning, contemporary home that not only fits in with the historical homes on the block, it leads the parade.

where: 385 North Ridgewood Place, Los Angeles 90004

when: 7pm

There is an admittance fee of $15 for non-members per event. The event is free for LA Forum members. Attendees can join the Forum the night of the event or on our website: subscribe
