CRAIG HODGETTS IS A PRINCIPAL IN THE ARCHITECTURAL FIRM OF HODGETTS + FUNG.  THEIR MOST RECENT WORK INCLUDES THE UCLA TOWELL LIBRARY.  HE TEACHES AT UCLA AND HAS WRITTEN EXTENSIVELY ABOUT ARCHITECTURE, INCLUDING AN ARTICLE ON ARCHITECTURE AND CRAFT IN THE MAY 1994 ISSUE OF ARCHITECTURE CALIFORNIA.

GARY PAIGE IS A LOS ANGELES BASED ARCHITECT AND TEACHER AT SCI-ARC.

DAVID HERTZ IS FOUNDER AND PRESIDENT OF SYNDESIS, INC., A MULTIDISCIPLINARY ARCHITECTURAL,

DESIGN AND MANUFACTURING FIRM WELL KNOWN FOR ITS DEVELOPMENT OF SYNDECRETE, AN ENVIRONMENTALLY SENSITIVE, PRE-CAST LIGHTWEIGHT CONCRETE ARCHITECTURAL SURFACING MATERIAL.

SUSAN FRANK + DAVID FRISCH

PHILIP VOURVOULIS IS PRESIDENT AND FOUNDER OF GLASSTECH INDUSTRIES AND HAS WORKED AS A GLASS ARTIST FOR FIFTEEN YEARS.

SUSAN FRANK + DAVID FRISCH, BOTH TRAINED AS ARCHITECTS, HAVE BEEN DESIGNING FURNITURE SINCE MOVING TO LOS ANGELES IN THE LATE 1980s.

ALEXIS SMITH

ALEXIS SMITH IS AN INTERNATIONALLY REKNOWN ARTIST WHOSE RECENT PUBLIC WORK INCLUDES THE TERRAZZO FLOOR INSTALLATION AT THE NEW LOS ANGELES CONVENTION CENTER.

RANDALL WILSON

PAUL FISCHER
RANDALL WILSON TEACHES AT SCI-ARC WHERE HE RUNS THE MODEL SHOP.  HIS STUDENTS’ MOST RECENT CONSTRUCTIONS, BICYCLES FROM FOUND INDUSTRIAL OBJECTS, WILL BE EXHIBITED IN GALLERIES THROUGHOUT THE COUNTRY.

PAUL FISCHER IS A GLASS ARTIST WHO HAS DESIGNED AND FABRICATED MANY LARGE SCALE INSTALLATIONS IN LOS ANGELES.  HE RECENTLY BEGAN WORKING WITH TITANIUM IN REPRESENTATIONS OF VARIOUS PROJECTS BY FRANK ISRAEL.

TOM FARRAGE

MORRIS SHEPPARD
TOM FARRAGE FOUNDED HIS OWN FIRM IN 1987 TO DESIGN AND FABRICATE SPECIALTY CONSTRUCTIONS.  FARRAGE WORKS PRIMARILY IN METAL, AS WELL AS WOOD AND PLASTICS.

MORRIS SHEPPARD IS A FURNITURE MAKER WHO WORKS PRIMARILY IN WOOD. HE HAS ALSO WORKED ON THE RESTORATION OF THE GAMBLE HOUSE.  HE STUDIED INDUSTRIAL DESIGN AND PAINTING AT PRATT INSTITUTE AND HAS COLLABORATED WITH COY HOWARD.
