The LA Forum Presents: A Private Gallery talk and reception with photographer Lane Barden

Private Gallery Talk
Closing Reception: Thursday, June 31, 7 pm (members-only event)
LA Forum Events @ WUHO Gallery
6518 Hollywood Boulevard, Los Angeles, CA 90028

LA Forum members are invited to a private gallery talk and reception with photographer Lane Barden on Thursday, July 31 at 7 p.m.

Take an aerial tour of Los Angeles with Lane Barden without leaving the gallery. His Linear City installation captures the infrastructural veins that run through Los Angeles. Barden will discuss the process, history of sites, and reveal some unique discoveries. A members-only reception with the artist to follow.

Los Angeles-based photographer Lane Barden captures the entire length of the L.A. River, the Alameda Corridor railroad trench, and Wilshire Boulevard in Linear City . The fifty-foot-long aerial image operates as evidence of an alternate urbanism. His photographic fieldwork records the dynamic qualities of the city’s infrastructure as it cuts through the urban fabric.
