The Los Angeles Forum for Architecture and Urban Design presents the Dingbat 2.0 Exhibition, featuring winning and selected entries from the recently completed Dingbat 2.0 Housing Competition, which challenged architects and designers to reconsider Los Angeles’ ubiquitous ‘dingbat’ apartment building for the 21st century. Historic documentation of existing dingbat apartment buildings is included in the exhibition, including work by artist Judy Fiskin, from her series Dingbat, 1982 – 83.

Dingbat 2.0 Exhibition-related Events:
In addition to the exhibition, two panel discussions bringing together Dingbat 2.0 competition jury members, city officials, and other members of the design community to discuss the design proposals will be held at the gallery space during the run of the exhibition.

Dwell on Design Presentation
Two invited winning and selected competition entrants from the Dingbat 2.0 Competition will be presented at the 2010 Dwell on Design Conference at the Los Angeles Convention Center. LA Forum Board member Joshua G. Stein, Principal of Radical Craft, will moderate the 30-minute presentation.
The Dingbat 2.0 Competition & Exhibition are sponsored by the National Endowment for the Arts, the City of Los Angeles Department of Cultural Affairs, Enterprise Holdings Foundation, the Woodbury University School of Architecture, and the Los Angeles Forum for Architecture and Urban Design. Archinect is the media sponsor for the competition, and printing for the Dingbat 2.0 Exhibition has been generously provided by Ford Graphics.
