The first event of  On the Map: South of the 10 will be at the YMCA/28th Street Apartments by Koning Eizenberg.  Originally designed in the 1920s as a YMCA by African-American architect Paul Williams, this historic South Los Angeles institution was shepherded into a new era by Clifford Beers Housing.  The architectural team at Koning Eizenberg restored the structure and designed a new addition which now houses almost 50 units of permanent supportive low -income housing and community center.  Collaborators include the Coalition for Responsible Community Development and the Kedren Community Health Center, Inc.
