ON THE MAP 2011: Varying Degrees – Graduate Aerospace Laboratories at the California Institute of Technology (GALCIT)

We open the ON THE MAP series this year in Pasadena to visit Caltech’s historic campus and a building that has accomplished some of the most revolutionary breakthroughs in the history of aeronautics. This 33,000 square foot renovation by John Friedman Alice Kimm Architects (JFAK) of the department’s laboratories, conference rooms, and common spaces acknowledges these past achievements while also suggesting the multitude of exciting directions for its future.

Please join us Thursday June 30th at 7pm for a tour led by Alice Kimm FAIA and other invited guests, and to celebrate the start of the LA Forum’s 2011 ON THE MAP series.
